Beaches and Coast

Lower Pencubitt is centrally placed for accessing the beaches of the north and south coasts of Cornwall

• The quaint fishing village of Looe with its sandy family beach and famous Banjo Pier is just 7 miles from Lower Pencubitt. Crabbing from the quay at Looe is a popular pastime for children. Glass bottom boat trips and shark fishing trips run from the harbour.
• Just along the coast from Looe you will find the picturesque fishing village of Polperro with its "smugglers" beach and sight seeing trips along the coast departing from the quay.
• Talland Bay situated between Looe and Polperro is a delightful hidden cove.
• Seaton beach to the east of Looe along the coast path is a large dog friendly sandy beach
• Further along from Seaton beach you will find Whitsand Bay with its large sandy beach, but be prepared for a rather steep trek down to the beach.
• The popular north coast surfing beaches of Fistral, Perranporth and Polzeath are all within easy reach of Lower Pencubitt.
• Rock with its beautiful beach and sand dunes is a lovely family beach on the north coast
