- Looe is a good starting point for a walk along the South West Coast Path which meanders through miles of stunning coastal scenery, hidden coves and beaches
- At Siblyback Lake, you can enjoy walking, cycling, wake boarding and watersports.
- Nearby is the lovely Golitha Falls, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, where you can take a leisurely stroll through the ancient woods by the River Fowey.
- Bodmin Moor offers miles of beautiful moorland, mining heritage and historic remains to explore. Minions is the nearest point for a walk to the famous Cheesewring and the Hurlers stone circle
- The Camel Trail from Bodmin is a popular, virtually level, walking and cycling trail passing through spectacular countryside. Cycle hire is available from Bodmin
- Cardinham Woods is a beautiful woodland for walking as well as cycling for moderate cyclists and mountain bikers
- From Looe you can take a shark fishing trip or glass bottom boat trip. Sight seeing trips along the coast also run from the quay at Polperro
- There are a number of golf courses to choose from including Looe, Launceston and Lostwithiel
- The popular north coast surfing beaches of Fistral, Perranporth and Polzeath are all within easy reach of Lower Pencubitt.
